About the 420 Awards
The 420 Film Award is committed to creating a venue for creativity on the margins of mainstream production – which personify individuality and daring strokes of bold new cinema & video.
The competition is open to all levels of filmmakers, and all genres of film. We are committed to creating a venue for films on the margins of mainstream production, which personify individuality and daring strokes of bold new cinema. Innovation is the essential ingredient we are looking for, no matter the film’s genre, though we are especially interested in gritty, low-budget, indie-spirited cinema, that deserves a wider audience, both within the states, and abroad, in brick ‘n’ mortar shops, and on the Internet.
If you have something passionate to say, we’ll help you say it.
The 420 Music Award is the premier award site for what’s hot! Our mission is to inspire musicians by recognizing, promoting and supporting creativity in music venues.
Entries will be awarded with gold kush, silver haze, or bronze trainwreck honors if judges determine that “creative distinction” should be recognized. Entries do not compete against each other, but are evaluated against a high standard of creative merits. Winning entries are based on combined judges' scores. All judging decisions are final.
All entrants will be confirmed of receipt of their entries by e-mail. Winners will be notified of their selection following the completion of judging and provided with the opportunity to purchase a plaque and trophy to commemorate their honor. Upon completion of judging, non-award winning entrants will be notified of the judges’ decisions by e-mail.
